Dangerous product litigation claims in Pennsylvania

Imagine going to the supermarket and looking at the thousands of products available for sale. Most of these products are perfectly safe to purchase and use. However, a select few of them are exceedingly dangerous, and they could hurt you and your family. The problem is that too often consumers don't know which products these are until someone suffers harm or worse.

When a dangerous product causes injury or harm to a Pennsylvania consumer, that individual has the legal right to pursue restitution and justice in court. That restitution may take the form of compensation for the price of medical care, time unable to work, pain-and-suffering and other categories of damages.Surviving family members of those killed by a defective product also have the right to legal recourse.

However, simply filing a dangerous product case in civil court does not guarantee a favorable result. Plaintiffs will need to prepare their claims for damages strategically and support those claims with appropriate evidence.

For example, plaintiffs will need to show documentation of their injuries by submitting their medical records. In some cases they'll need to obtain a doctors' expert opinion on the extent of their injuries. Plaintiffs will also need to show proof that negligence on the part of the manufacturer, or the party that sold the product to them, directly and proximately resulted in their injuries.

At Damico Law Offices, we have extensive experience representing Pennsylvania plaintiffs in dangerous product litigation claims. If you believe that your injuries were the result of a defective or hazardous consumer product, our legal team is available to speak with you about your injuries in a free, no-obligation, first-time consultation.
